How One Doctor Used Food To Beat MS and Go From Wheelchair to Marathon..

Ted Talk Dr Terry Wahls Today I wanted to share with you, one of the most powerful testaments to the importance of diet and nutrition, that I’ve ever seen..

You’re not going to want to miss this!

I’m a big fan of Ted.com and the “Ted Talks” they post on their website and YouTube channel.

It’s an amazing resource of inspiration, insight, and information..

For the uninitiated, Ted Talks are curated presentations given by scientists, entrepreneurs, and experts on various interesting and thought-provoking subjects.

If you’ve never seen a Ted Talk, it’s well worth the time to pop on over to Ted.com and check a few out. Truly “ideas worth spreading”.

But there’s one Ted Talk in particular that I think you’ll really be interested in.

It’s given by Dr. Terry Wahls, who describes how she used food and nutritional science to heal her Multiple Sclerosis and in a matter of months, go from being wheel chair bound to running a marathon!

If she had listened to her Doctors’ advice, she would still be in that wheel chair. They said that she’d likely never walk again, and the only answers they had for her, came in the form a pill. Lots of pills..

Luckily, she decided to fight her debilitating disease with nutrition rather than pharmaceuticals, and not only makes an amazing recovery, but also provides affirmation to what so many are now discovering – You control your health through the nutritional choices you make day-to-day.

You can heal yourself or deteriorate yourself.. Your choice.

It’s one thing to be told that, or to read it.. it’s a whole other thing to see it in action. It serves as a real “kick in the pants” to start making food a priority in your lifestyle.

OK.. Here’s the vid –

  1. There are many incredible stories on how people beat illnesses with food as medicine, but to see an actual doctor do this is quite surprising. One would think that a doctor would rely a whole lot more western medicines and view food as preventative measure, but this doctor was definitely thinking outside the box. I would very much like to learn more about this doctor, his story is very interesting.

      Hey James..

I thought it was interesting (and amazing) as well. Glad I could share it with you, and you be inspired from it.

Well, the Paleo diet isn’t going anywhere.. that’s for sure.

This year, the very first Paleo conference was held in Austin, Texas.. Not to mention it’s the official diet of CrossFit, which is the fastest growing sport in the world and is breaking into the mainstream more and more every day.

No doubt, in the next few years we’ll see the Paleo diet start to get the attention it deserves!
