Newest Whole Foods To Feature “Paleo Bar”

WholeFoodsPaleoBarWe’ve talked before about how Primal eating isn’t just another fad diet..

Looks like Whole Foods agrees.

Just last week, the health food supermarket giant announced on it’s blog that it’s newest Whole Foods store would indeed feature a “Paleo bar”..

Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Hopefully, “Paleo Bar” will be a term as commonly used as “salad bar” but that may be slightly overly optimistic.

This is great news for a few different reasons. If you’re lucky enough to live nearby this San Francisco based Whole Foods store… then the benefits are obvious. But what about the rest of us?

Why do we care?

A Growing Trend to Benefit Us All.

I’ve mixed feelings about Whole Foods, in general. While I like they represent.. and I can certainly respect the fact that they have undeniably made a wider range of healthy foods available to millions of people..

In the past few years.. They’ve been struggling to strike the fine balance between keeping up with corporate growth demands, and staying true to their roots. And while it does seem they are genuinely doing the best they can.. they have inevitably had to make some compromises.

And considering the very nature of a publicly traded company.. The odds that Whole Foods completely sells out.. I guess we’ll see.. But for now they’re doing something right – With the introduction of the “Paleo Bar” a whole slew of  “non-internet” people will be exposed to the potential benefits that the Paleo diet has to offer.. and that’s a good thing.

But as the Paleo  “movement” continues to grow.. It’s important that we highlight the good AND the bad and that’s why we thought we’d share this small tidbit of progress with you. It helps to serve as an assurance that you’re not the only one looking for better ways to do things..

Rest assured that Whole Foods wouldn’t dare put in a “Paleo Bar” simply because they believe in the Paleo principles.. They would only do it after spending lots of cash on market research to validate the idea of a Paleo bar in the first place..

I guess they liked what they found.
